So, it's Thursday, the day I usually volunteer in Corbin's classroom.
I did today and it was super fun, ending with making edible snowballs...yes, way to go the oh so brave Mrs. Wright!
As I was leaving she pulled out this paperwork and shared that Corbin had scored at a higher grade level on this grade wide testing. Yea, a pretty fun thing to hear about your kid.
So, as I left his classroom, God just flooded me with such the sweet reminder of truly what a gift from HIM he is.
Not just that he happens to score high (for sure not from a striving thing on our end). He brings joy, gives great hugs, loves birds, art....and hugely loves on his sister, just to name a few highlights.
The day after we found out we were pregnant with Corb, Charles Stanley was on tv and said, "some of you are about to receive a surprise gift from God."
How true this word continues to be about his life.
Today happened to be one of our roughest morning with Grace. I mean, screaming, pulling me, hitting Corbin, crying, you get the picture.
Not exactly sure why.
Bottom line is God is God. God is sweet. Sometimes we don't understand why or what He is doing but we are called to follow and how cool that we get to.
The journey is not always rosy and skippy but oh the screaming, funky moments make those skippy days all the sweeter.
All that HE IS is a gift so that none of us can boast.
Ephesians 2:9 ..."it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."
