My Heart is Yours!

Woah.  These are big words. Words that I have said. Words that I know is part of being a Christian. But holy smokes.
Believing that. Living like that. How much more free my life would be if I could truly own this from the depths of me.

Grace Crocker. I know she is God's. He told me from the start that she is a Child of Promise. Woah.
Why do I get so revved up over a meeting with her teacher? Over what therapy or method will help her talk more?
Oh man. Yes, I know that as her mommy on this earth I am to do the best that I can and know how for her.
But oh how this can get out of control and how quickly I can take my eyes off of Jesus and forget that she is HIS.

She leads me desparately to Jesus. Through her life, a sweet freedom has come to me. I'm glad someone way bigger is in charge.

I majorly needed this bigger person on Grace's first day of dance class. Yes, such a sweet and exciting thing and new experience but oh boy.
I was late (grrr) which did not set G up for goodness. Anyways, yes there were some sweet moments (as I managed to capture below) but the ones of her trying to swipe the teachers ipad and almost ripping my shirt off tend to overshadow the cuteness of her new tutu.

All of this leading me back to the greatness of this song that I heard on KLove tonight. The title of this blog. My Heart is Yours. I went home and bought the song and found the words below.
I highly encourage you to listen to it.
Lord, forgive me for not trusting you. Forgive me for not thinking you're enough. Wowzers. You are enough and want to give me sparkles on my tutu also.

My Heart Is Yours
Kristian Stanfill

I give You my life
I give You my trust
You are my God
You are enough

My heart is Yours
My heart is Yours
Take it all
Take it all
My life in Your hands

I lay down my life
And take up my cross
For You are my God
Whatever the cost
For You, Jesus

All to Jesus I surrender
All to You I freely give
I will ever love and trust You
In Your presence I will live
